The needs of adopted children are complex. At CCS we pride ourselves on the level of support we offer our families as they face the challenges that lie ahead. Most of this work attracts no statutory funding and we are therefore dependent upon donations to provide this essential service. When adopted children start to process difficult early life experiences in the security of their new adoptive homes, it is vital that they and their families have access to a wide range of specialist services so that they can continue the process of healing and developing trust with their new ‘forever’ family.
A donation from your estate provides a lasting gift that will continue to transform the lives of vulnerable children long into the future. It is also the only way to make sure that your money, assets and belongings are distributed in the way that you want.
About two thirds of the population still fail to make a Will and charitable legacies are not currently subject to inheritance tax and so any gift you leave to CCS Adoption will be tax-free.
Leaving a gift to us may also bring the amount of your estate below the inheritance tax threshold meaning more of your money will go to the causes you wish to support.
It is simple and inexpensive to have a Will drafted by a Solicitor and easy to leave a gift to CCS Adoption in a new or existing Will. If you have already made a Will, you will need to make an amendment. This is simple to arrange through a solicitor and is known as a codicil.
